ISAMMA 2024: A Resounding Success, Steered by INOMAR in Advancing Magnetic Materials and Applications
The 5th International Symposium on Advanced Magnetic Materials and Applications (ISAMMA 2024), organized by the Center for Innovative Materials and Architectures (INOMAR), has been recognized as a resounding success. The event, held on August 5 in Quang Binh, attracted 315 leading scientists and industry experts from 20 countries. Co-hosted by the Vietnam Magnetics Society (VMS), the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), and other notable institutions, the symposium provided a platform for sharing innovative research on magnetic materials and fostering global collaboration.
In his opening address, Prof. Nguyen Huu Duc, President of the Vietnam Magnetics Society, emphasized the event’s significance not only for its scientific value but also for promoting integration and equitable cooperation between Vietnam and the global scientific community. This year’s symposium featured groundbreaking presentations, including historic special lectures by Prof. Liesl Folks on semiconductor industry strategies and Prof. Kyung-Ho Shin on creating social value through sci-tech innovation.
Participants discussed cutting-edge topics such as advanced magnetic materials, spintronics, semiconductor technology, and the application of nanomagnetic materials in healthcare. The symposium highlighted the growing importance of magnetic materials in various industries, including healthcare, aerospace, and national defense.
Vietnam has been actively involved in the global magnetics community since 2012, achieving full membership in the Asian Union of Magnetics Societies in 2018. The Vietnam Magnetics Society, under the leadership of Prof. Nguyen Huu Duc, has played a crucial role in promoting magnetic materials research in Vietnam. The successful organization of ISAMMA 2024 by INOMAR further cements Vietnam’s position as a key player in this field.
With a focus on innovation and collaboration with industry, ISAMMA 2024 provided a unique opportunity for scientists to exchange new research on emerging magnetic materials, spintronics, and AI-driven energy regeneration technologies. The event underscored the critical role of magnetic materials in advancing technology and improving human health, and it set the stage for future collaborations and innovations.
INOMAR's leadership and meticulous organization were key to the symposium’s success, solidifying its reputation as a leader in advanced materials research. The symposium not only showcased cutting-edge advancements but also reinforced Vietnam’s integration into the global scientific community, making it a standout event in the scientific calendar.
